The connection between the hydraulic clutch actuation system and the overrun tank is made via a so-called overrun pipe. The coupling piece connects the so-called overrun pipe head with the connecting piece by means of a sealing element made of EPDM.
For the connection, the assembly force during assembly is important on the one hand, and on the other hand the so-called pull-off pressure, above which the connection is loosened.
The task is to develop a 2D simulation model from which the assembly force and the trigger pressure can be determined.
The determined values could be compared with the experimental results of RTD to verify the calculation model. The results agreed very well with the values determined in tests (deviation less than 5%). With the aid of the developed calculation method for the assembly and discharge pressure of a trailing pipe, several optimization variants could be recalculated and evaluated with regard to the specified requirements.
