Merkle CAE Solutions GmbH, an expert in engineering multiphysics simulation calculations, and embraceable Technology GmbH, developer of an AI platform for orchestrating processes, are developing an AI-supported business application specializing in engineering concepts in order to retain highly qualified engineering expertise within the company while significantly increasing efficiency. This would enable the companies to achieve a new software dimension in engineering.

Know-how in engineering depends on the person. Not only technical expertise, but also experience and a wealth of knowledge regarding projects that have already been implemented. This is to be optimized with the new AI-based business technology at Merkle CAE Solutions. Together with the software developer embraceable Technology, Kaiserslautern, the company is developing a platform that accesses the engineering knowledge of previously implemented Merkle CAE Solutions projects based on a wide range of parameters.

The initial aim is to simplify administrative tasks such as quotation and order management. In addition, projects and reporting would also be streamlined, as similar methods or even similar tasks can be found quickly. Conventional business applications are not specific enough for engineering. Likewise, conventional search functions do not cover the possible questions and parameters. Artificial intelligence acts here like a long-established employee who has all previous projects, their tasks and methods, as well as the administration, in memory and without long search times.

The newly developed system is model-agnostic, meaning it can communicate with all kinds of other applications. No data is used for training AI models. All data and information remain completely under the sovereignty and control of Merkle CAE Solutions. As the company is constantly working with highly sensitive and confidential data, this is a basic requirement. The system is operated on-premise. Only local and European language models are used. The solution therefore meets the highest standards of sovereignty, data protection and strategic flexibility and also offers maximum cost efficiency.
