The ventilation of a machine hall is to be simulated in order to create better (optimized) ventilation and thus better working conditions through targeted geometry changes.
In the center of the hall, a machine was shown in simplified form. During its operation, dirt particles are generated which must be transported away from the machine by means of targeted ventilation in order to improve conditions at the workplace.
Two variants were simulated, in which the suction function of the ventilation was positioned once on the roof and once on the side walls of the machine hall.
The color of the particles represents the concentration of dirt.
In a direct comparison, a significantly lower concentration of dirt is found in the machine hall if the extraction function of the ventilation is positioned on the side walls.
