Cooperation in earthquake engineering

Merkle CAE Solutions GmbH, an expert in the field of engineering simulation calculations, and Ingenieurbüro Pinkawa, an expert in the field of earthquake engineering, are pooling their know-how. This means that in future, complex projects, systems and components can also be supported in all matters relating to earthquake engineering. Customers will benefit from special expertise in carrying out the required verifications for quasi-static and dynamic earthquake calculations and standard-compliant earthquake verifications.

Thanks to the close partnership between the two engineering firms, the complete portfolio of possible earthquake calculations is covered; earthquake equivalent loads, non-linear static equivalent force methods, mono- and multimodal response spectrum methods, as well as dynamic earthquake simulations, so-called time history methods.

"As a highly specialized but small engineering office, I have occasionally reached the limits of my capacity in the past and had to turn down highly interesting project inquiries with a heavy heart," says Dipl.-Ing.
