Change of form but not of content

As an entrepreneur, it has always been my goal to stand up for my company with my name.

Increasingly, however, the administrative burden of partnerships is becoming more difficult, be it the pile of paperwork for an investment loan at the bank or the application for cooperation and research projects.

Actually, one would think that an entrepreneur who is liable for his business with his assets within the framework of a partnership is in a better position than a managing partner of a limited liability company with limited liability capital. But obviously this is not the case in our society.

In the last 33 years, I have had a few clients who have led a GmbH into insolvency, only to appear shortly afterwards as managing directors of a successor GmbH, with a slightly different name but the same activity.

In two cases this even happened several times. It goes without saying that we only serve such clients after payment in advance. Who once ...!

On the whole, however, you as our customers have always paid us, even if sometimes late, and losses due to insolvencies have been painful but comparatively low. Our suppliers have also always received their money from us, even if sometimes a little late.

It is also proper to pay for services that one has used.

But back to my actual concern.

As part of a transfer of operations, all rights and obligations of Merkle & Partner GbR will be transferred to Merkle CAE Solutions GmbH with retroactive effect from 1 July 2022.

I was and am 100% owner of both companies.

Perhaps one or two of our account numbers will change, but that is all. All previous contact persons are also your future contact persons.

We will retain the "Merkle & Partner" brand and our logo.

And I will continue to ensure that you are more than satisfied with our work and know that you are in the best hands with my managers.

I would like to thank you, our clients, for the trust you have placed in us over the years. I always have an open ear if we can do something better and look forward to your suggestions.

PS: Star Trek was first broadcast in 1967, so it's a bit younger than me. The remake of Star Trek - The Next Century was broadcast in 1987 - 1994. So the first episode of the remake is a bit older than my company, which was founded in August 1989.

Starship Orion, Starship Enterprise, Perry Rhodan and the first moon landing in July 1969 were among the reasons why I studied aerospace engineering in Stuttgart and dealt extensively with the subject of simulation during and after my studies. That's why I find the picture in the teaser quite appropriate.
